LIMITED WARRANTY

What is covered under the warranty?

ABC America's Body Company ("ABC") warrants:

Composite floors on Rugged American Product is covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles
Aluminum bodies (premium and plus packages only) and vans manufactured from 6/30/08 for 10 years or 100,000 miles
Steel service bodies and vans manufactured for 6 years or 60,000 miles
S.M.A.R.T. Racks for 5 years or 50,000 miles
Dry Freight and Aluminum service bodies and vans manufactured before 6/30/08 for 5 years or 50,000 miles
Tuff Skin Liner on the Rugged American Product is covered for 3 years or 36,000 miles
Rugged American stake and platform bodies, Marauder dump and drop side dump bodies, pickup tool boxes and RTB-813 hoist for 3 years or 36,000 miles

ABC warrants each Product to be free from defects in material, workmanship and rust-through or corrosion from date of purchase. ABC warrants its factory-applied topcoat against material defects for a three (3) year or 36,000 mile period, whichever occurs first from date of purchase. This Warranty applies only when the Product is properly installed by an authorized ABC installer, properly maintained and used for the purpose for which it was designed.

Who benefits from this warranty?

ABC's obligation under this Warranty automatically applies to the original purchaser of the Product.

How is a warranty claim handled?

The purchaser shall immediately notify the ABC Americaís Body Company (in writing) of any claim under this Warranty, setting forth the date of purchase of the Product, model and serial numbers, and giving a detailed description of the alleged defect including photographs of the specifi c defect and the complete unit. All repairs must be authorized by ABC prior to any work being performed. If after inspection ABC determines the Product is defective in material or workmanship as claimed, ABC shall have the option to repair the defect or replace the Product or any part, Labor required to repair defective material or workmanship will be covered for a period of (3) years of 36,000 miles, whichever occurs fi rst, from date of purchase. ABC shall not be liable for any labor costs for installation, removal or reinstallation of any defective Product to or from the vehicle, any transportation costs, any rental reimbursement, loss of vehicle use, inconvenience, storage, lost time/pay, etc.

Purchaser shall prepay all freight charges for returning the Product to ABC, or any other location designated by ABC, and for receiving any replacement. Any replacement shall be F.O.B. ABCís plant.

Contact ABC at 1-800-872-4583 and ask for the Warranty Administrator or contact ABC in writing at the following address: ABC, 939 East Starr Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43201. An ABC Warranty Administrator will assist you in diagnosing the problem with your ABC product. If it is determined that your situation is eligible for warranty service, arrangements will be made for an ABC facility to complete repairs or a numerical purchase order for the repair will be issued by ABC and sent to an authorized repair facility. Present this numerical purchase order for the repair to the authorized repair facility as your only authorization to complete repairs. It shall be the commercial purchaser and/or selling dealerís responsibility to contact ABC before any repairs are made which are covered by or may affect this warranty, in order to secure prior written approval. If warranty service is approved, ABC will process and pay your claim within fifteen (15) business days.

What are the exclusions to the warranty?

This warranty shall not apply to:

Accessories or services not furnished by ABC or damage/corrosion caused by these accessories or services, such as optional parts, aftermarket products, components, installation, finish painting, lettering, wiring or modifications.
Damage caused by carrying corrosive materials.
Damage or corrosion, including surface rust, due to normal wear and tear such as stone chips, chemical treatments and exposure due to airborne contaminants/pollutants.
Damage due to accident, misuse, abuse or alteration.
Product(s) purchased and installed by original owner.
Product(s) purchased and used outside the USA and Canada.
Product(s) not properly maintained per maintenance instructions.
Platforms only—Wood floors that are found defective, in which case the repair or replacement cost to ABC shall be limited to the following percentages:
First year—100%
Second year—50%
Third year—25%.
ABC Composite floors and side panels exposed to contact temperature exceeding 255 degrees Fahrenheit and 180 degrees below zero. Product is not be used in the hot asphalt industry.
S.M.A.R.T. racks exposed to contact temperatures exceeding 160 degrees Fahrenheit.

DISCLAIMERS

ABC warrants its Products only as stated in this Warranty. ABC makes no other warranties, express or implied, and disclaims all other warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fi tness for any particular purpose. ABC's obligations are limited to those expressed in this Warranty, and ABC shall not be liable to the purchase or any third party for any direct or indirect, incidental or consequential damage or loss.

Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.If any Product is improperly installed, altered, misused, damaged or otherwise tampered with, the foregoing Warranty shall lapse and become null and void. This Warranty shall be enforced and construed in accordance with the laws of Ohio.

No person is authorized to modify or add to the foregoing Warranty.
